Where there is will there's definitely a way. At least that is what Arsenal goalkeeper thinks. Petr Cech is refusing to write off the remainder of Arsenal's season.
Despite being 12 points behind bitter rivals Tottenham in the Premier League, the stopper still has hope of catching up. With eight games to go it would take a monumental collapse from Spurs and Chelsea to allow Arsenal to sneak into fourth place. But failing that, the Emirates outfit could still qualify for the Champions League by winning the Europa League.
“Thanks to the result in Milan we are in a good position to reach the last eight of the Europa League then you carry the chance that you might qualify for the Champions League. When you have a run of negative results and it carried on from the Ostersund game at home and in the league. In between that we had the cup final and we lost, so it is very disappointing so when you go through a moment like that you need to find your way. We can’t say that because we won two games in a week that we are out of it because as soon as you are out you can be back in."
"It was a big week and a big step forward to finish the season on a high, try to win the remaining games and see how far we can get.”
Arsene Wenger hailed Cech as an all-time Premier League great after he kept his 200th clean sheet against Watford at the weekend.
