Harry Kane sustained an ankle injury in their recent 4-1 victory over Bournemouth.
Speaking at a press conference following the match, Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino confirmed the sad news by stating, “I am concerned. Of course, I worry about him (Kane). We hope it is not a massive issue for him and the team and hope he can recover as soon as possible. We need to wait because we will scan his ankle.”
The tactician continued, “He suffered an injury to the same ankle he suffered before. He is positive. Harry has a great character and is always positive. If you are positive you start the recovery from the injury from now.”
Kane, who has scored 35 goals in all competitions for the Spurs this season, has had a history of ankle problems as evidenced by the 14 games the marksman missed after sustaining the injury on two separate occasions last season. Tottenham can only hope that the talisman will be back in time for their crucial clash against Chelsea on April 1.
