Manchester United is set to reignite interest in Tottenham Hotspur star Eric Dier.
The Red Devils are ready to launch an opening bid of £55 million to land the Tottenham midfielder according to Transfermarketweb. The England international has attracted interest from boss Jose Mourinho having impressed in north London since his arrival from Sporting Lisbon. However, club’s chairman Daniel Levy is not willing to let his key me leave, especially to domestic rivals, but United are reportedly ready to test Spurs' resolve.
The Special One is keen to bolster his midfield options in the summer and is ready to prioritize additions in the middle of the park. With Michael Carrick set to retire at the end of the current campaign, Dier remains a key target but United have to convince Spurs to acquire his services.
The 24-year-old is currently tied down on a contract until 2021.
