Manchester City striker Gabriel has admitted that he is scared of a grizzly injury after a number of serious setbacks.
The Manchester City striker made his first start in over two months in defeat by Basel following a knee injury which left him in tears at Crystal Palace on New Year's Eve. Jesus had come off the bench in City's previous three matches but conceded he is not yet in the right frame of mind.
"When you are in the game you end up thinking about the previous game when you got injured,' he said. Without wanting it you have a bit of fear. I think I still played with some fear. There were some movements when I still have some fear of getting injured again. But, as you play more and more, you are going to see that fear leave and play your football. Physically, I'm feeling very well.' It was the second long-term problem Jesus has suffered since joining City. The 20-year-old broke his metatarsal weeks after his debut last season, missing two months.
Jesus also revealed that Brazil team-mate Neymar has asked for advice about dealing with the rehabilitation after suffering a falling victim to a similar injury last month.
