Arsenal have confirmed the signing of Sead Kolasinac on a free transfer, their first capture of the summer.
The North London outfit have announced he will sign a long-term contract and, subject to the completion of all regulatory processes, the defender will start pre-season training in July.
Sky sources reported last month that the 23-year-old left-back was set to join the club after his contract at Schalke ended.
Everton, Manchester City and AC Milan also made offers for Kolasinac, but the defender chose a move to north London despite uncertainty over Arsene Wenger's future as manager, which has now been settled.
Kolasinac joins from Schalke and is an ideal fit for the left wing-back role if Arsene Wenger sticks with 3-4-3 formation.
His salary is yet to be revealed, but according to sources, the Bosnian is set to earn a staggering £7.5m-a-year.
No other defender provided more assists than Sead Kolasinac (5) in the 2016/17 Bundesliga campaign. Good signing?
