Super Eagles coach snubs Odey, Sikiru for Bafana Bafana tie

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr did not name striker Stephen Odey and his MFM FC teammate Sikiru Olatunbosun in the squad that will play the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa.

Both players are currently in Paris with the rest of the squad, and are expected to play some part in the friendly against Togo on Thursday.

Nigeria will play against South Africa in Uyo on June 10.

Rohr, who announced his squad on Wednesday, left out the duo who have been touted to make the squad.

Odey is the current highest scorer in the Nigeria Professional Football League with 14 goals, while Olatunbosun recently won the CNN Goal of the Week Award.
